Favorite things

I love lipgloss and rarely if ever wear/buy lipstick. I like a lot of shine I guess :)  these are my absolute favorite lip glosses  and I always have a huge stock. I just love the colors, flavors, and how we'll they moisturize your lips. Plus I feel like the longevity of this gloss is great.

It isn't any secret around here that I love sweets! I can never get enough of these chocolate covered potato chips when I buy them. This bag never lasts a day!

Fridays favorites

This week I have been starving (must be the weather) and this has been my go to snack. I like to dip carrots, peppers, and tortilla chips in it. If you haven't tried it you must!

Flowers! I just need some reminder spring is coming which mean SUMMER is next. It has been a brutal winter here in MN this year.

 I miss being able to walk outside with the kids while they picked every flower they could find for me. Even the dandelions sit proudly on display :)

We have a gymnastics show this weekend and the theme is I Love the 80's. We are both super excited :) brynna does such a great job!

I have a bridal shower this weekend for my sister and I am so happy for her and her fiancé!

I have started a new book. There isn't much time for reading and I love it!

I love a happy home and I know it helps my kids flourish.

Easter weekend recap

I love having the kids home from school! And this four day weekend has been great!

Thursday morning I had my wisdom teeth  removed. I was very nervous but everything went great and I don't remember a thing :) 

Friday we headed to my moms, who is finially back from wintering in Arizona,and dyed Easter eggs with her and my sister Kaitee.

We also enjoyed lots of snuggles and play time with mammy and her puppies!

Saturday it was nice out so we played all day at the park and went on walks. 

When we settled in for the night we watched Hop, talked about how the Easter bunny would be sneaking into the house and then we went to bed.

Sunday morning the search was on!

After we ate enough to get a sugar high and brynna made bunny head pancakes we hopped in the car and drove to mommys. We had a great dinner and enjoyed another Easter egg hunt. Every year we do an adults and kids hunt.

This year everyone chipped in a few bucks and we had a golden egg worth quite a lot!! The winner of that was

Mammy!!

Everyone was searching so hard for that egg :)

My DVR

I am linking up with Andrea and sharing what's on my DVR. Admittedly I do not watch much tv and I always go for comedy so these should come as no surprise :)

How I met your mother

The show may be done but unless all the seasons are on netflix I won't be erasing any episodes yet :) I also love to watch these as reruns 

The Big Bang theory

I was very late starting this series but I find it hilarious and with all the reruns I get to watch it all the time without seeing one twice :) 

Wild Kratts

My kids love this show! They learn so much that I love that they love it!

Of course I watch other shows like Two and a Half Men, Modern Family, you can never go wrong wth HGTV, and a few others when I have the time.

Friday Favorites

I love the Fridays that are on my weekends off!! Trying to figure out what fun things we will do this weekend.....


1. I just bought this scarf and I am so excited for it to warm up a little so I can wear it with out a big winter coat.

2. This winter has been incredibly long and there hasn't been much opportunity to get outside. I am thankful for this place because it gives us an opportunity to get out and play and with another snow storm forecasted I know we will hit this place up this weekend :)

3. New movies are great excuse to have friends over and make marshmallow popcorn! Tuesday we had three other girls over to watch this movie  . Everyone loved it! I loved how it correlates with Peter Pan.

4. This little nugget is saying "love you" all the time now and it's so cute!

5. This lipgloss has been so fun to try and I love the way it makes my lips feel plus the color. I know I'm going to buy a few, it'll be great for summer! If it ever comes... I bout the coral crave color.

Five in Friday

1. I am super excited to have my car almost paid off!!! I keep my vehicles for a long time and not having payments is going to be awesome!!!

2. How I met your Mother is my favorite show. I love it like people loved friends. I can't say that I'm excited for the show to be done but I'm very excited to "meet the mother". I have already warned the kids that I will be watching tv for an hour Monday :) I usually record it and watch it when they go to bed.

3. Ice racing should wrap up this week and Bryce is currently ahead in points :)

4. Pinterest/ wedding planning

My sister and I send pins all day to each other. We've been full on wedding planning (I'm just suggesting) and it's been such a fun way of sharing ideas. Her wedding is coming up so fast!

He always has such great ideas and fun friends. He's currently thinking going to the movies and having a sleepover. 

Easter basket ideas for children

For Easter baskets I usually add some sort of toy, hopefully something spring themed if it's finally warmed up outside (living in mn you never know what Easter will look like!) and then of course some candy. In previous years I've added bubbles, video games, summer floaties, swim suits, cute Easter socks and books just to name a few.

Here are some other ideas

You can never go wrong with side walk chalk, whether your playing hopscotch or drawing pictures it's hours of possibilities.

I don't know about everyone else but my daughter loves monster high and she is now brave enough to change her earrings. She will love these!

I am the lawn mower in my house and how much fun will bryella have following me in this :) she insists on "helping" me with most chores 

Reviews on this were really good and it's reuse able perfect in car rides or just sitting outside.

How cute is this head wrap and both the girls could share it. Bonus for mom :)

Rio 2 is coming out in April and my kids Love the first Rio. It's a bonus because usually they have to do a chore or be super good in church in order to go to the movie :)

How cute are these mugs! My kids love hot cocoa and they are always fighting over my favorite cup, they'd love these for their own!

This is probably the hottest thing that all three kids will want, if we can wait that long!

And no Easter basket is complete without our favorite candy. A bag for every basket!
