July 4th

Our 4th was pretty quiet as I worked all weekend. #nurseslife I did snap a few pics though and joined the adults at the sandbar.

I don't know that I've ever seen the sandbar so packed. There were more people behind me even.

Thee most exciting part was my baby went on a jet ski ride!!!

Bryella is reminding me of brynna with the inability to look at the camera :) #thankgoodnessitsjustaphase ;)

I was in bath and body works  a month ago looking for some new glitter spray for my daughter when I came across this smell., it's something we both agreed on. I love the smell and she loved the glitter!

Learning to drive!

We were at my aunts house celebrating my cousins return/vacation from England and we were able to play with this! All the kids loved it and apparently I need to buy something like it :)

Talk about adorable! My kids amaze me every day :) 

Puddle jumping

Summer has had a pretty good start! We've been so busy playing outside, at the parks, on the trampoline, camps and walking every day!

I have been working hard on worrying less and being that yes mom!

No shoes while walking the block to the neighbors? Sure. I remember never wearing shoes as a child, I shouldn't insist my kids do.

Want to play in the mud puddles just after your bath? Why not, we'll just wash up again. I guess we are making memories and messes :).

Bryella is just like her sister and drawn to water :) I've lost the battle.

Someone has been busy getting a ride all over town...

Brynna and bryella seem to both be learning to ride bikes ;)

Five on friday

We had the most wonderful week!

First it started with a kindergarten graduation! What an exciting time for her and a little bittersweet for me. We already know who her first grade teacher is and who her classmates are :)

My sister go married!!!! It was beautiful!

I'm always so thankful for my sisters. They are my best friends! Always there for me whether I need someone to talk to and laugh with.

Next week I'm creating a summer itinerary that will include reading, crafting, outside play time, and other daily activities. I'm thinking it'll look something like this. I love that certain days I can remove things and add others. As summer needs to be flexible!

Weekend recap

alright it's Thursday and I am just now getting to my weekend recap. I enjoyed a few link ups this week and then work put me behind blogging.

I had to work this weekend but we did have some fun. 

Bryella played with bubbles for the first time! It was cold and windy out and she didn't have much luck chasing them :) but she was the first one to see the deer crossing!

Sunday was my sisters bridal shower. It was such a wonderful time to visit with everyone there.  The wedding seems to be coming up so fast!

Brynna had her gymnastics show on Sunday also. She did such an amazing job! He skills have improved and she loves going to gymnastics. It's so amazing watching her grow!

Tuesday we went out to eat at space aliens for kaitees birthday. It was also Bryellas first time here and she loved the games :) 

I got a little wedding shoe shopping in. I think I'm going with these.... The ones I bought have a shorter heel though as I do need to chase after three children still :) while looking photograph appropriate!

And that was our weekend!

Turkey spinach burger with feta

During the summer we spend a lot of time at the lake and then need quick supper ideas. Given we spend almost 5 months of the year with snow covering our grills, when warmer weather comes around we all turn into grill masters!

This recipe is super easy and incorporates vegetables. Which is a win win for all of us considering no one wants to spend a lot of time cooking :) 

Turkey spinach burgers with feta

1 pound ground turkey

1 box frozen spinach (thawed and drained)

1/2 cup feta- I used a sun dried tomato feta you can use plain or whatever flavor you like

Salt

Pepper

Mix everything together is a bowl. Form into patties and toss on the grill.

These taste fabulous!
